This is our ready-to-use Bonsai standard soil.
Simply unpack and use for planting or repotting!
It contains a mixture of Akadama, a high quality hard clay mixture from Japan, pumice granulate (high porosity level, contains many air cells and avoids waterlogging) and Sphagnum-Turfmoos (which contains all the primary and secondary nutrients, as well as additional micronutrients fertilizers in small concentration).
This soil stores water and nutrients while avoiding root damages (root rot) thanks to its permeability, and guarantees a strong and healthy growth of plants. It is ideally suited for all indoor and outdoors plants (except for azaleas, which require "Kanuma" ).
pH-value: 6,3 to 6,9

The first two components maintain the substrate permanently loose. Floraton is a high quality peat that maintains a sufficient level of soil moisture. This soil is the first choice for indoor plants.

Ectomycorrhiza
Fungal spores added to a peat substrate as a soil stimulant.
"Mycorrhiza" describes a form of symbiosis between fungi and plants.
The mycelium of mycorrhizal fungi encloses the root tips of ectomycorrhiza and it penetrates the outer layer of the bark. In case of endomycorrhiza instead, the mushroom pnetrates the root cell of the plant and can no longer be detected by the naked eye.
In this way, the absorbing surface increases from a hundred to a thousand times, which increases markedly the water and nutrient uptake capacity. Many studies show that mycorrhizal plants are able to better cope with stress situations. In particular, their resistance to dryness and their capacity to survive heavy frost increase. The plant’s susceptibility to diseases reduces considerably and nutrient shortage is no longer to be expected.
